the eagle eyed amongst you will hve noticed that I have finally put up an image of myself. Those with canny camera knowledge will also spy that I have in my hands an old pentax Optio430 from monkey's years back.
As much as this not so little has served me well, i think it is time for an upgrade.... Yes yes, I know that in reality, I don't really need to buy an new camera but ever since I washed and tumble dried my spare battery, the thought of coughing up £30 for a new battery has always been side-lined by the though of spending £200 on a new camera that has two batteries... Ok... I'll admit that the pack with spare battery (as well as some other goodies) is more like £250 but still, it's not a lot of money seeing how much I use my camera.

As of now, this is the object of my desire.

Only thing is, I know that if this realy was a work purchase, I'd be better off getting a full on DSLR as it would allow me to use the wide angle lens that I really need for my line of work. At the same time, I am still a fan of multi-tasking my things and if I can get a pocket camera that can serve in other areas, albeit not as well, then isn't that better? Then again, if I flip the choices; if I ended up getting a DSLR, I am certain it wouldn't be used for anything other than work.

I guess, like most things, the choice has already been made and it is just up to me to make that first step.
