looking to the past...

...lots of people say out of habit that you should always look to the future. Sometimes that is true and you should look for ways of moving forward but then again, I'm also a firm believer of frames of reference. How do you know the way forward if you don't first look to the past? How do you avoid doing something that ahs alread been done if you don't look at what has already been done?

I've been in a bit of a lonely mood recently and craving something that isn't sitting in front of a monitor shoving a mouse around and clicking on icons. Under my bed is a little "secret" that's been hiding for the past half year and lately it's been crying out for some attention. Only thing is, I haven't really picked up a paint brush properly for about half a year now and before that, I hadn't done any painting since well..... Guildhall. Can I stil do it? I imagine I can. I don't see why not.

Anyway.
For those who haven't seen these before, they're the best of a bunch I did between 8-10 years ago when I was a wee lad.

This is 4 out of about 20 but some have been lost, left at 6th form, thrown away during moving etc etc and to be honest most of them are just mediocre.

I've got two that I said I would do; both for friends but I haven't seen them in ages and well... don't see = no chance to give and all that. Perhaps I should make a special effort to get back into the swing of things. It always was a good way to spend half an hour.
Well, that is what I could do before, what can I do now?

A more productive update later.

because everyone else did one (as well)...

You Have a Phlegmatic Temperament

Mild mannered and laid back, you take life at a slow pace.

You are very consistent - both in emotions and actions.

You tend to absorb set backs easily. You are cool and collected.

It is difficult to offend you. You can remain composed and unemotional.

You are a great friend and lover. You don't demand much of others.

While you are quiet, you have a subtle wit that your friends know well.

At your worst, you are lazy and unwilling to work at anything.

You often get stuck in a rut, without aspirations or dreams.

You can get too dependent on others, setting yourself up for abandonment.
